When will the movie "Demon Slayer: Mugen Castle" be released?

After the broadcast of the final episode of the anime "Pillar Training", it was announced that "Mugen Castle" will be produced in the theatrical trilogy. On December 9, 2024, it was revealed that the film will be released in theaters in 2025.

It is not clear at this time whether the entire trilogy will be released in 2025 or when it will be released. Therefore, I will refer to the past production schedule and try to predict the specific release date.

First of all, organize the intervals between productions so far. The TV anime Tanjiro Kamado Ryushi Hen ended its broadcast in September 2019, and its sequel, Mugen Train Hen, was screened as a theatrical version 13 months later in October 2020. The following "Yugaku-hen" began airing as a TV anime in December 2021, 14 months later. Similarly, "Swordsmith's Village" will begin airing in April 2023, 14 months after the end of "Yugaku-hen." The "Pillar Rehearsal Arc" began airing in May 2024, 11 months before the end of the "Swordsmith's Village" arc. In this way, the interval between productions is about 11~14 months.

Considering these production schedules, the first part of the movie "Mugen Castle Arc" is expected to take place between May and August 2025. In particular, the film will be released in July and August, which coincides with the summer vacation season, when families and students are more likely to go to the cinema.
